TOLERANCE is an international traveling poster exhibition conceived and organized by renowned designer, Mirko Ilic. I worked with Mirko many years ago in NYC, and have always been intrigued by his mind and his belief that good design thinking can make society better. Enthralled by his concept of TOLERANCE, and observing the cities across the world where the show was going, I wanted to bring it to Salt Lake City. I produced and organized the show that leapt from the streets to 10+ art organizations—all showcasing these powerful posters. Below you'll see a number of the venues and applications of the posters, as they were showcased in Salt Lake City.

My main area of focus when deciding how and where to showcase these posters was to create a visual corridor along one of SLC's most populated streets. 300 South (or Broadway) is a cultural thoroughfare and is where people can plan to see art, theater, or eat at some of the most well-known establishments in Salt Lake. To maximize the impact of the experience, I was able to secure the use of a number of free-standing plakats. Next, I designed each plakats' board to reflect the breadth and expanse of some of the designers and artists participating in the show. (Below you can see a number of the designs, as well as the physical plakats with the installed artwork.)

Some of the posters being showcased in the Rose Wagner Theater... (These images feature Mirko. I was able to bring him out for the opening night of the month-long exhibition.) Each organization was given free reign to determine which posters and how many they wanted to display in their spaces.
